- Looking at verses 5–9, what resources were actually available to the disciples, and how did they initially respond to the problem?
- In verses 10–15, how much does Jesus give to the people and how much is leftover? What might be the significance of the leftover food?

- How do we see Jesus’ character revealed in this passage, especially his kindness, power, and awareness of human needs?
