Hello FBC family! Marisol and I want to thank you all so much for your welcoming hearts and kind gifts. We are both looking forward to getting to know you all and have already found so many of you to be great encouragers in the faith. I wanted to return the favor for you this week with a passage in my own study from Revelation 2:4-5. Christ desires for His church to remain steadfast not just in good works but in having a heart of love for Him that drives that work. As times start to get busy now that the summer is over and plenty of events are coming, we must remain in that spirit of love and remember our roots as a church when we fall away. Our busyness is not equal to our faithfulness, but Christ delights in service that is purely aimed in glorifying Him because of our affection for Him. Let us continue in that love as we joyfully share in worship with Word of Life this Sunday. Please let us know how we can pray for you and care for your souls.
In Christ,
Pastor Mike
