Faith is a funny thing. Our faith is strongest when we are doing that which requires us to be most uncomfortable. It is only when we step out of our comfort and routine that we really begin to trust the Lord. James records for us
23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God.
He says this in reference to Abraham offering up his son Issac to the Lord. Abraham demonstrated his faith in what was most likely the most uncomfortable moment of his life. As Toby encouraged us on Sunday, we should have no fear putting our faith in Jesus because he secures us and allows us to step out into whatever he has called us to. Often the very step Jesus is calling us to do can be the most frightful leap for us. What is the Lord calling you to do? What is your next step of faithfulness? Are you trusting in Jesus to lead, protect, and secure you to the end?
God bless,
