1st John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

What great hope we have because of the work of Jesus. No matter our sin, past present or future, Jesus’ death and resurrection is good enough to save us. On this Ash Wednesday I encourage you to take time to confess your sins and reflect on the goodness of salvation, forgiveness, and hope in Jesus.

As we begin the season of lent we encourage you to pray about fasting. Fasting is intentionally removing something from your life for the purpose of growing closer to God. This is done by taking the time that would otherwise be spent on the activity in intentional prayer. It is also helpful to pray when you have an urge to eat or desire for the activity you are fasting from. Together, let us set ourselves apart for the Lord’s Service.

Your partner in the Gospel,

Pastor Nic
