What does it mean to be a missional church? This is a question that has many great answers. One way to answer is that a missional church is a church that prays for missions, missionaries, and the advancement of the Gospel. This past Sunday we showed that we are a missional church by praying for these areas. Another way to be a missional church is to send people from your church on missions overseas. This is an area that Lord as blessed as we currently have 4 church members serving as missionaries overseas. A third way to be missional is to invite people in your community to hear the Gospel and come to church. This past week was evidence of that mindset in our church as we had 5 first time visitors, including a young family invited by a church member they met at a park on Thursday and another young family who are neighbors of church members. Finally, you might answer that being a missional church means giving to missions. This is why on top of our regular giving to missions and missions work we take up a special offering for North American Missions called the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. We have set a goal of $4,000 as a church. We ask that you would pray and consider giving to support the work of missionaries across North America.

After service on Sunday I was asked about why this special offering was named after Annie Armstrong. This is a great question and a great opportunity to learn about our baptist heritage. I encourage you to take a moment and watch this video about an this amazing missionary woman: https://youtu.be/aM1FL7MqQn4?si=-AZ4HfuGUjoMjuoN
