Holy week is upon us. This is a week of reflection, celebration, repentance, and joy. I encourage you to take extra time in your reading this week to read and meditate on the death and resurrection of Jesus. While reading John 20 or Matthew 26 and 27 take a moment and reflect on how miraculous the death and resurrection truly are. In Jesus’ death the created order is flipped completely. The rich and powerful one dies for the weak and helpless. The pure makes the unholy righteous. The master and king takes on the role of a servant. Then the resurrection happens. Something unheard of. People do not rise again, but Jesus does. The tomb is empty. It is unbelievable. It is revolutionary. It is the event that silently proclaims God has triumphed over man’s greatest enemy. See what your Lord and Savior accomplished for you!
