There are two types of tiredness in life. One type comes from choices of staying up late and getting up early. It’s often tied to life situations or choices. The other type comes from hard work. The feeling that you may be tired but you know that a good job was accomplished. It’s this second type of tiredness I felt as I got home Sunday. What a great day together. We gathered, we worshiped, we celebrated, we deliberated, we accomplished a great deal, but importantly through it all we glorified God. Sunday we saw 2 baptisms, observed the Lord’s supper, approved 14 new members, unanimously voted in a new Associate Pastor, and kicked off small groups just to name a few things. What a great day to work for the Lord. As a close friend of mine always reminded me “when the Lord returns I want him to find me tired because I was doing his work”.
